WCFWC  History

The Westchester County Federation of Women's Clubs  was founded in 1921 with the objective to "Stimulate and unite the interest and influence of  the women's clubs in Westchester County. and to promote the welfare of the County in Civic, Legislative, Educational, Philanthropic, Moral and Cultural Matters."  There are 16 member clubs.
We are concerned with Safety in the Schools, Activities for Children and the needs of our ever-growing Senior population in our communities.  We support our brave men and women serving throughout the world working for peace and in these difficult economic times providing support where needed.
Over seventy years ago Federation began giving scholarships to deserving female Westchester Community College students and continues to do so today.
  In 2018 Federation gave 5 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College! In 2019 and 2020, during the Covid Pandemic, Federation gave 4 scholarships each year to needy female students at Westchester Community College!  In 2021 and 2022 Federation gave 6 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College!  In 2023 Federation gave 8 $1,200 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College!
