WCFWC History
The Westchester County Federation of Women's Clubs was founded in 1921 with the objective to "Stimulate and unite the interest and influence of the women's clubs in Westchester County. and to promote the welfare of the County in Civic, Legislative, Educational, Philanthropic, Moral and Cultural Matters." There are 18 member clubs.
We are concerned with Safety in the Schools, Activities for the Children and the needs of our ever-growing Senior population in our communities. We support our brave men and women serving throughout the world working for peace and in these difficult economic catastrophic times providing support where needed.
Over sixty years ago Federation began giving scholarships to deserving female Community College students and continues to do so today. In 2015 Federation gave 6 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College. In 2016 Federation gave 6 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College! In 2017 Federation gave 8 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College! In 2018 Federation gave 5 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College! In 2019 and 2020 Federation gave 4 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College! In 2021 Federation gave 6 scholarships to needy female students at Westchester Community College!
